Stephen Keshi Nigeria football legend dies aged 54

The African football is mourning the death of former Nigeria captain and former coach Stephen Keshi.

In the early hours of Wednesday Morning in Benin City in Southern Nigeria, Keshi died from a cardiac arrest at the age of 54.

Reports says He was planning to return to his base in the United States later that day and Keshi was in good health and had no previous heart problems.

Keshi had 64 Nigeria caps as a central defender between 1981-95, also had three opportunities coaching Togo before he took over as Nigerian  coach in 2011. He also coached Mali between 2008-10.

In 2013 Africa Cup of Nations title he lead nigeria to victory defeating Burkina Faso in the final in South Africa.

Big boss as he is fondly called will be greatly missed.
