THE COUNSELLOR ORG INVITES YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN HER FORTHCOMING INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE RALLY

1000 sustained Citizens will Advocate for Social Justice 18th of February 2017.
A march for fairness, equality and Justice.
A march against Social Injustice.
A people that believes in hard work over miracle and magic will march in support of a country that believes in the welfare of her people to create employment opportunitiesto reduce poverty in the country.
The Nigerian government, all the states and the Nigerian people must begin to realize that it is time to drive the narrative that will save succeeding generations from poverty the scourge of terrorism, to establish conditions under which justice and respect for
obligations arising from treaties and other sources of international law can be maintained, to promote social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom, to practice religion tolerance and good neighborliness, and to employ international machinery for the promotion of the economic and social advancement of all peoples.
The UN agrees that "All human rights are universal, indivisible and interdependent and interrelated." The Nigerian government must treat human rights nationally in a fair and equal manner, on the same footing, and with the same emphasis. While the significance of national and regional particularities and various historical, cultural and religious backgrounds must be borne in mind, it is also the duty of States, regardless of their political, economic and cultural systems, to promote and protect all human rights and fundamental freedoms.
Sustainable development is the pathway to the future we want for all. It offers a framework to generate economic growth, achieve social justice, exercise environmental stewardship and strengthen governance.

The existence of widespread extreme poverty inhibits the full and effective enjoyment of human rights; its immediate alleviation and eventual elimination must remain a high priority for the Nigerian government.
Umemployment, Extreme poverty, religion intolerance, lavk of social amenities  and social exclusion constitute a violation of human dignity and that urgent steps are necessary to achieve better knowledge of extreme poverty and its causes, including those related to the problem of development, in order to promote the human rights of the poorest, and to put an end to extreme poverty and social exclusion and to promote the enjoyment of the fruits of social progress. It is essential for States to foster participation by the poorest people in the decision making process by the community in which they live, the promotion of human rights and efforts to combat extreme poverty and unemployment in the country.
We will also appeal that the federal government to have the attitude of swift intervention anytime it is reported that the lives of Nigerians are being threatened. We will aslo use this platform to ask the federal government to find a lasting solution to states and citizens who are terrorised by terrorists in the skin of Herds men.

We will also call upon all states in the federal republic of Nigeria to take all necessary and appropriate action, in conformity with international human rights standards, to combat hatred, discrimination, intolerance, violence, intimidation, Vioation of Human Rights and coercion against any one or any group justified in the name of religion or religious beliefs.

Exercise impartiality in their policies relating to religious affairs in the country.  States should resist calls by members of one religious group to uphold discriminatory measures against those following other religious persuasions, even when these calls are couched in the language of human rights or expressed by groups who themselves have experienced discrimination.

Social Justice awareness campaign is an international event and we will also appeal to the Nigerian government and the international communities to tackle poverty, social, economic exclusion, unemployment, Right of the minorities, terrorism, drug trafficking, Violence, corruption etc

We are calling on the Nigerian people to join our 1000 March for Social Justice rally 18th February is the date and Lagos State should get ready.
We are prepared; We are ready. We are Coming.
All our objectives will be pursued and aggressively sustained; we will not relent until the wishes of the Nigerian People are met.
For the #TheCounsellor Organization our campaigns will focus but not limited to the
following:
1. That the Federal and States government will promote social progress and better
standards of life in larger freedom, to practice tolerance and good neighborliness, and to solicit the Nigerian government to employ international machinery for the promotion of the
economic and social advancement of all peoples.
2. That the Nigerian government must treat human rights nationally in a fair and equal
manner, on the same footing, and with the same emphasis. While the significance of
national and regional particularities and various historical, cultural and religious
backgrounds must be borne in mind, it is the duty of States, regardless of their political,
economic and cultural systems, to promote and protect all human rights and fundamental
freedoms.
3. That the Nigerian government will focus more on Youth Empowerment and employment to reduce extreme poverty in the country and also guide against slave labour, domestic and
child labour.
4. Action against domestic violence: There are still provisions in the Nigerian constitution
that make it legal to engage in domestic violence against women. The provision of the panel code applicable in the Northern part of the Nigeria specifically encourages violence against women. Underneath its provisions, the beating of a wife for the purpose of correction is
legal by the use of section 55(1)(d) of the Penal code. Citizens demands for a repeal.
5. Drugs for AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria.
6. Improve the quality of education through adequate learning infrastructure in public
schools.
7. Ending user fees for basic health care in the country.
8. Provision of social Amenities.
9. Training programs for community health in rural areas.
10. Engagement of the people in governance through transparency and accountability.
