Comrade Mahmud Muhammad, is the SA State and National welfare to Gov. Kashim Shettima of Borno state. Represented his boss at the first NANS Borno State.
Read his Speech after the cut.
Protocol.
His Excellency, Governor Kashim Shettima could have love to attend this August occasion but went for a National assignment in Anambra state.
Moments such as this provide enervating opportunities for introspection and rumination and one cannot help but engage in taking a deep look into our mundane peregrination.
I feel highly honored and elated today, standing before you on behalf of my Governor; the super Governor, the people servant, the lion of the desert who defies all odds, the emancipator of the masses and the voice of the voiceless among his subjects.
I'm visibly overwhelmed as you can all see because as the saying goes in Hausa "ko ba'a gwada ba, linzami yafi karfin bakin kaza". Standing in the shoe of His Excellency is by no means an easy task.
As the saying goes; "No matter how long it takes, the stammering child shall definitely pronounce his father's name" I believe the best of my able Governor shall continue to ring bell through the layers of time and space.
The calamity that come to define Borno state in recent time is well known to all and sundry. But Allah through His infinite mercy blessed us with a Governor who is equal to the task, ready to face the challenge head on, courageous, belligerent, frugal in resource management and accommodative in managing people and opinions. In fact, having him as a Governor of today's Borno is a rare serendipity. AlhamdulilLah!
Therefore, at this point, I want to commend NANS for organizing this wonderful program to expose our youths to the importance/benefits of these phenomena. If the youths come to appreciate the enormity of the task ahead of us and take a leading role in turning the wave, then the sky is our limit.
I urge the youths to take up the gauntlet and never lower your gourd in the quest for security and economic emancipation and independence. You indeed, are the hope of the communities you live in.
At last, I have to admit that I'm really grateful for the honor done to the people of Borno state by recognizing the effort we are putting in place to put our dear state on the right pedestal both in security and development.
We will continue to support every positive effort by students and youths geared towards making our states better places to live and engage in lawful businesses.
Once more, I'm most grateful and I wish you a successful summit.
Thank you all.
Comrade Mahmud Muhammad,
SA State and National welfare to
Gov. Kashim Shettima of
Borno state.
