Refuge From Storms

It doesn't seem to matter where you live today, there are numerous storms. Some of these storms are so severe that there is a lot of difficulty in even finding a safe refuge. And, no matter how you try to avoid these storms, the changing weather patterns around the globe seem to find us at some time or another.

So, how do we prepare for these storms? What do we have to know, to learn, and to do?

Some of us can build a shelter that is below ground where no winds can find us or terrorize us. We can stock up on supplies to ride out the most vicious of storm. Or, we can buy boards to fasten to our windows, or strong shutters to lock securely.

Sometimes, we receive very little warning about pending storms or these storms develop too fast to be adequately prepared.

Life is full of storms and some we know are coming and can take defensive action. In other situations, storms in life come upon totally unexpectedly and we are hard pressed to respond quickly or even at all. The real secret to live through these storms is to be always prepared. But, how can you always be prepared for any storm arising anywhere at anytime?

There is a way that every one of us can be armed, can be prepared, can whether the storms of life. We can rest comfortably and with complete security no matter what storms hit us head on or those that spill over into our lives on occasion.

You can be prepared but you must also give something. You do not have to invest money, nor do you have to live in a basement fortified with concrete block. The only refuge you will need for all of life's storms is a true belief in
God - believe that God is with you ate all times, even when the winds are severe and you do not think you can handle another minute.

God does not appear once or twice during a storm to keep you - God is there every minute during the most severe storms. He is there to guide you, to help you deal with the most terrific happenings for God is not unkind, nor prejudicial. When God calls, he may take some one dear to you - but that is because needs a new
angel - God is always there to help you through earthly concerns, pain and anguish. Put your life in His hands and you will never worry about storms again.

Here are several passages from the Bible that will also provide comfort, and knowledge that God is everywhere for everyone who believes:

Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion. Ecclesiastes 5:18

Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath great things for us; whereof we are glad. Psalm 126: 2-3

Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27

For if the first fruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. Romans 11:16

The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season. Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. Psalm 145: 15-16

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. II Corinthians 3:17

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children. Ephesians 5:1
