Not only are coconuts nutritional, they are also incredibly versatile and will offer you many varieties of food dishes to choose from. Apart from the incredibly popular and well known desiccated coconut, other forms of this super food need to start appearing in your pantry and fridge. The coconut meat can be eaten as is, and benefits the stomach by creating a healthy environment free from parasites. It is incredibly nutritious, and the fat level shouldn’t be of
concern here, as the type of fat, known as MCT, is incredibly beneficial to the treatment and prevention of a host of dreaded diseases, along with other nutrients found in the coconut meat. Coconut water is known for is hydration levels, which is believed to be four times that of water. It also tastes great, and is very low in sugar. In summer it serves as a healthy alternative to other juices and sodas. Coconut milk and cream can be used in puddings and curries, and adds a very nice flavor to any dish. Finally, coconut flour is a wonderful alternative when baking, and far healthier than most flours currently used.

They can be added to cereals, yoghurts, desserts and even dinner meals like stir fry and vegetable ratatouille. They pack a powerful nutrient punch. Not only is it full of good stuff, it is also a low GI food, leaving you fuller and satisfied for longer. Easily incorporated into almost any savory dish, your kids will love you and your body will thank you.

It seems Popeye’s obsession with this food was not unfounded. This leafy green has long been known for its qualities; however, having it raw in salads is a relatively new trend. Look for baby spinach leaves, and pair it up with zesty flavors’ to add a bit of a salad punch.

By exploring Arabic and Indian culture, you soon discover that anything can be curried, not just meat and potatoes. Curry powder should be experimented in small amounts; however, once you’ve discovered the level best suited to your family’s palate, you can experiment by trying different varieties.
