Read her statement below...

I am using today, International Human Rights Day to condemn the conspiracy silence of the Government at Federal and state level and the Heads of security in the country over the continuing crisis in Adamawa state that's not been given the needed attention.
The Heads of security should take necessary steps to conduct an impartial investigation into the killings, threats and atrocities committed by some groups in Adamawa State past and  present and bring those that masterminded the killings or anyone who has criminal responsibility for human rights violations or crimes under international law to justice in fair trials before an ordinary civilian courts with option to death penalty when necessary and ensure justice to the victims and lasting solution proffered.
We, as a people ourselves, have to act – act with urgency and in solidarity with each other. With political leaders themselves demonizing their own people, and even instigating the widespread attacks against the communities due to their in-activeness, the need for all of us to stand up for the basic values of human dignity and equality of everyone everywhere has now become extremely urgent.
According to John F. Kennedy, "The rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened."
It's our collective responsibility to condemn every evil perpetrated in the country irrespective of the ethnic and religion of the people involved.
A threat to Peace in Adamawa is a threat to Peace in everywhere in Nigeria.
I am also using today to call on the government at all levels to improve the physical, social, cultural and spiritual well being and welfare of the vulnerable group of people nationally.
It's time for us as a people promote the awareness about human rights among the people all around the country. People must know their Rights as citizens and as Humans.
Emphasizing the endeavors of the United Nations General Assembly in order to progress the overall human rights conditions, is a must.
Democracy demands the active participation of the people in governance therefore, a need for the government to encourage the vulnerable group of people like women, minorities, youth, poor, disabled person, indigenous people and etc to take part in political decision-making that affects their lives.
Your rights as a human are protected in the Nigerian Constitution and the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Dignity article #1 to #30.
Defend your rights and dignity by all means necessary but resist violence by all means necessary.
Happy Human Rights Day.
Truth is freedom and freedom is a constant struggle.
Aluta Eternal! Victory Eternal ✌
