Though celebrities have the best designers at their feet, it happens pretty often for them to make weird wardrobe choices, which are not only inadequate for the occasion, but plain odd. This happens pretty often at important award shows as well.
Here is a list of the celebrities who got it all wrong:
LADY GAGA – 2010 VMA
Many of her outfits belong in this category and this is a good example. The meat dress was simply disgusting and many people felt outraged. It is certainly the worst fabric that one could get for a dress.
KRISTEN WIIG – 2014 TIFF.
The awkward dress is definitely an all-time low point in Kristen Wiig’s outfits. It is neither elegant, nor controversial or daring. It is really inappropriate for any occasion, not to mention an award show. The pattern was weirdly colorful and distributed. It looked like one created by a six-year old who experimented with shapes and color. There is simply nothing right with this dress.
BJORK – 2001 OSCARS
The white dress that resembled a swan was obviously meant to impress, but it was way too much. No one really liked it and some even said that it promotes animal cruelty in a disturbing way. Some shocking outfits become hits. This one only guaranteed a spot in a top for worst dressed. The fluffiness didn’t help at all. As a matter of fact, it only made matters worse.
ANNE HATHAWAY – 2013 OSCARS
Though she got the Oscar for her performance that year, no award could ever be given to the transparent pink Prada dress. Though the pale pink shade would have looked nice and appropriate, the fabric was too revealing and left little to the imagination.
If you want to see many wrong wardrobes, VMA is the place. Taylor’s outfit was shocking because she is known for having a great sense of fashion. That blue bodysuit is certainly the worst of her outfits. It is revealing the legs way too much than an outfit should while it is long-sleeved and unflattering at the top.
Well there you have it, although some deserve to be on this list more than others they’ve all earned a spot for a reason. Award shows and red carpets run rampant a few times a year so we know there will be more bad choices added to the list in due time. Stay tuned!
MERYL STREEP – 2012 OSCARS
No one can deny Meryl’s acting abilities. But this shapeless golden gown didn’t look flattering at all. There is no way for that color to fit anything. Add a total lack of good design and you end up with a drape-looking fashion disaster.
TAYLOR SWIFT – 2014 VMA
If you want to see many wrong wardrobes, VMA is the place. Taylor’s outfit was shocking because she is known for having a great sense of fashion. CHRISTINA AGUILERA – 2003 VMA
The bright pink feathery short dress is a disaster. Though she wore it in a time when she was very familiar to daring outfits, this one doesn’t have anything remarkable about it.
KELLY OSBOURNE – 2012 YOUNG HOLLYWOOD AWARDS
The bright yellow dress sure fails to impress in a good way. The out of line design only makes matters worse. The material looks bad as well, as it resembles plastic.
Well there you have it, although some deserve to be on this list more than others they’ve all earned a spot for a reason. Award shows and red carpets run rampant a few times a year so we know there will be more bad choices added to the list in due time. Stay tuned!
