Songstress turned actress Bette Midler starred in 'Hocus Pocus' as the brainy leader of the trio of Sanderson sisters, Winifred. Midler, who claims 'Hocus Pocus' was her favorite film to make, went on to make several other movies including 'First Wives Club,' star in her own sitcom, a Vegas revue, and release several albums. In 2012, she received a lifetime achievement award from the Songwriter's Hall of Fame.

Sarah Jessica Parker
Appearing in 'Hocus Pocus' as the ditzy youngest Sanderson sister, Sarah Jessica Parker's character was boy crazy. It wasn't too much of a stretch then for Sarah Jessica Parker to hop into the role of Carrie on 'Sex in the City.' Since 'Sex in the City,' she has continued to star in movies and work in the fashion industry.
Kathy Najimy
Kathy Najimy played bumbling middle witch sister Mary Sanderson. Since 'Hocus Pocus,' Najimy has used her comic prowess in a number of television shows and movies including 'Veronica's Closet' and 'Veep.'
Thora Birch
Thora Birch played lovable little sister Dani Dennison in 'Hocus Pocus.' Since 'Hocus Pocus,' Birch starred in a number of other movies in the mid to late 90s including 'Now and Then' and 'American Beauty.' She went onto revive her career as an adult, appearing in movies like 'Petunia' and 'Train' prior to taking a break from acting.
Omri Katz
Omri Katz
Omri Katz played main character Max Dennison, a skeptical teenager transplanted from California to Salem right before Halloween. After 'Hocus Pocus,' Katz went onto appear in several TV shows and made for TV movies in the late 90s including 'The John Larroquette Show.' He has since retired from show business.
Vinessa Shaw
Vinessa Shaw played Alison, Max's love interest and the neighbor. She had the yabos- that Max really liked. Eeeks. Since Hocus Pocus, she was Domino in Eyes Wide Shut and has been steadily acting ever since. She had roles in '40 Days and 40 Nights,' 'The Hills Have Eyes,' and '3:10 to Yuma.' Shaw also has a recurring role in 'Ray Donovan' on HBO.
Sean Murray
Sean Murray played the human version of Thackery Binx. He was the one who raced through the woods to try to save his sister from the Sanderson Sisters. Unsuccessful and turned into a cat Binx was often the comedic relief and voice of reason for Max and Dani. However, Sean Muurray did not voice Binx as a cat, that was Jason Marsden. Since 'Hocus Pocus,' he had a recurring role on 'JAG' and then his breakout role came from his role as Timothy McGee on 'NCIS.' He has been in that role for more than 11 years. He has two children and has been married since 2005. Fun fact; His step sibling is Troian Bellisario from 'Pretty Little Liars.'
Jodie Rivera
Jodie Rivera, who played Emily Binx who was killed by the Sanderson sisters. She was credited as Amanda Shepherd in 'Hocus Pocus.' Since then, she has become a YouTube superstar under the name VenetianPrincess. She has over 900,00 subscribers and produces her own one-woman show. She shoots the videos, wears elaborate makeup, and performs her own songs. What would bro Thackery think of this?
Doug Jones
Although covered in prosthetic makeup, Doug Jones played the role of zombie Billy Butcherson, Winifred's unfaithful lover. Although he may not look familiar, Jones has been in numerous popular movies and TV series. The former contortionist typically plays no-human characters and appears with heavy make-up and/or elaborate costumes. Some notable roles have been Abe Sapien in the Hellboy series and the Silver Surfer in 'Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer .'
Tobias Jelinek
After making his acting debut as the annoying bully Jay, Tobia Jelinek decided to pursue acting full time and leave college. He started out on stage and then made his way on to the small screen with many small roles in shows such as Southland and Shameless. He got his first lead role in the summer of 2015 in the feature film Fire City directed by Oscar Winner Tom Woodruff Jr.
Jason Marsden
Voicing the cat version of Thackery Binx, Jason Marsden continued to lend his voice to a whole variety of characters including Max Goof in 'A Goofy Movie' and Garrett Miller on 'Extreme Ghostbusters'. He also has made many on-camera appearances, playing Eric Matthews on 'Boy Meets World' and DJ's boyfriend Nelson on 'Full House' just to name a few. Marsden continues to lend his voice and act to this day.
