Suswan
Former governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam was on Tuesday arraigned before a Federal High Court in Abuja on corruption allegations.
Suswam was arraigned alongside former Commissioner for Finance in the state, Omodachi Okolobia on a nine-count charge of embezzlement of funds valued at N3.1 billion
The two accused persons however pleaded not guilty.
Following an application for bail by defence counsel Raji Ahmed (SAN), Justice Ahmed Mohammed granted the accused persons bail with one surety each in the sum of N100 million each.
The do are to be remanded in Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (ECC) custody pending when they meet the bail conditions set by the court.
