For the forth coming Edo State governorship election dated for September 10, 2016.
Mixed feelings has since aroused amongst the people of Edo State.

GODWIN OBASEKI/PHILIP SHAIBU TICKET ... MY TAKE
The decision by the leaders of APC to nominate Hon Philip Shaibu as a running mate to Godwin Obaseki did not come without a mixed feeling of jubilation in some quarters and furors in other quarters within the Edo North and Edo Central APC cycle.
For me and many others we all had our expectations and the decision of the leaders cannot satisfy us all. However no matter which zone or person that is chosen, there would still be mixed feelings as a choice of one person cannot satisfy the yearnings of the Akoko Edos, Ishans, The Owans and all others. Lets bear in mind that what the generality of Edo wants is good governance, wealth creation, job creation, security and attraction of investments to Edo and not necessarily where a particular candidate hails from.
Lets us all believe in our party leaders who said the decision is based on the best strategy to win Edo Governorship Race In 2016.
For us, ensuring continuity in the development of Edo State, Good Governance, Investment Attraction, Job Creation, Health Care Provision and Security Of Lives and People of Edo people should be key in our decision to support the Godwin Obaseki/Philip Shaibu Ticket.
The leaders of the party are still convening on a round table to sort out things and appease those who feel aggrieved by the decision. I plead with those who are aggrieved to please take advantage of this kind gesture to fill in blank space.
It is time for us to put our differences aside and forge ahead together to deliver Godwin Obaseki as the next governor of Edo State.
Godwin Obaseki has already described the choice of Hon Philip Shaibu as one of the best thing to happen to Edo Youths and we the youths are very hopeful that Hon Philip Shaibu will deliver on our expectations.
Meanwhile the National Chairman of the APC Chief John Odigie Oyegun has embraced the candidature of Godwin Obaseki and has called on all aspirants who contested with him and all stake holders to join force and forge ahead to deliver APC once again.
We cannot afford to go back to Edo-Egypt as it was between 1999 to 2007 when the state treasury was looted from all fronts by same players and God Fathers who are projecting a particular candidate.
Lets support Godwin Obaseki/Philip Shaibu For Governor/Deputy Governor Of Edo State.
