We have this inherent desire to be the best, do the best, have the best. Perfection. Anything else is for losers. But that's really a hard way to live because perfection is simply not possible. So what do we do now? Just go for average? Well, we don't want average either. So what's that something in between average and perfection? Good enough. That's a step above average but still not quite cutting it. What's that "finishing touch" that will put a bow on all this? It's not focusing on a final state, but the process. Not the best. Not average. Good enough. And then getting better.
