A group by the name BBOG have petitioned the Inspector General of Police along side the Deputy Inspector General of Police over the continuing detention of Comrade Ibrahim Garba Wala who was detained over a detention order secured by the Nigeria Police Force in a petition signed by Madam Florence Ozor Oby Ezekwesili.
Recall that an anti-corruption activist and National Convener of the Citizens Action to Tack Nigeria (CATBAN), Ibrahim Garba Wala has been unlawfully arrested and illegally detained by the Nigerian Police.
The police allegedly acted on a petition written by the Chairman of National Hajj Commission, Abdullahi Mukar who’s numerous acts of corruption has been consistently exposed by Ibrahim Garba Wala and the Citizens Action To Take Back Nigeria (CATBAN).

CONTINUED DETENTION OF #BRINGBACKOURGIRLS MEMBER, MR IG WALA
A member of our movement Mr Ibrahim Garba (IG) Wala has been in detention under your custody since Thursday 4 January 2018.
2. Our movement is curious and concerned, and therefore wishes to enquire the charges preferred against him warranting his detention in jail all this while.
3. Our movement is aware of the leave of court granted to keep him in jail for 2 weeks within which period an investigation is to be conducted. Our movement is interested in understanding the nature of crime being investigated and whether it was absolutely necessarily to jail him whilst investigations are ongoing. That is particularly if he was not a flight risk.
4. Our movement is concerned, and wishes to be assured that this is not the increasing spate of abuse of office whereby citizens are being oppressed, intimidated, and coerced by agents of the state, we have been noticing recently.
