Sometimes in our lives when we are looking for something and it seem as if that particular thing is not forth coming we give up. And most times when we go the extra mile to get that thing done we get the result that we need. Isn't it funny? It seems like the answer is always "plus one step". You have a problem. You do the obvious thing. The solution is OK. It's not great. It does the job. But if you do just a little more research, look around a little more, think about it a little more, try a little bit more - just that "plus one step", you'll find it makes all the difference. That's why persistence is important. It seems like there's nothing there by taking that one extra step, but by doing so, your field of vision changes. You see things at that extra step that you couldn't have seen a step behind. And the solution is always that much better so because you have that experience, you do it again and again and it becomes habit. For those who never put in the effort for the extra step, they'll never have that experience so they won't make it a habit and thus, leave a ton of benefits off the table for the rest of their lives.
